Short Term Health Insurance

If you find yourself temporarily without health insurance coverage because you are between jobs, a recent graduate, a student no longer eligible for coverage under your parent's plan, have expensive Cobra coverage, or are waiting for your employer coverage to begin, then a short term health plan would be appropriate for you.

Short Term Health Insurance is an individual health insurance coverage that provides you, your spouse and your children with basic protection against unexpected accidents or illnesses.  There are various deductibles and benefit periods to fit your short term needs.  The deductibles that are offered range from $500 to $5000 with coverage periods of 1 month to 6 months.

The maximums range from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.

The effective date on most Short Term Health Plans is the next day after you postmark it unless you indicate a future effective date.

NOTE!  There is no coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The plans do not renew but you can reapply at the end of the coverage period, if you still meet the eligibility requirements.  However, pre-existing conditions from the first coverage period will not be covered in the second coverage period.
